Rotary Matriculation School is located at Vinayagapuram 7th street, Rayapuram, Tirupur-1. The school was started as a primary school in 1963 by Rtn. Thiru. S. S. Kodar and the construction of new classrooms was started in 1983 by Minister Thiru. P. Kuzhandhaivel, Minister Thiru. S. T.  Somasundaram, and Thiru. R. Manimaran MLA. The opening ceremony of the new classrooms took place in 1985 in the presence of Rtn. Thiru. G. Varadharaj MP and Thiru. C. K. Kuppusamy MP. With the efforts of the Rotarians and the help of Teemage Constructions, the school is functioning well with modern facilities.

The main attraction of this school is its low fee structure combined with good quality education. The students come from economically weaker sections of society, whose parents cannot afford to enroll them in private schools with exorbitant fee structures. In addition to academics, the school also places importance on character building and imparting moral values and life skills such as politeness, patience, obedience, respect for teachers and elders, and brotherhood. The school follows a child-centric approach with a concept-based curriculum, focusing on language mastery and interdisciplinary learning. Extracurricular activities such as yoga, karate, and band class are also given importance. The school has four smart classrooms, a well-stocked library, a well-equipped computer lab, and a science lab.

Students are encouraged to participate in various activities at the district and state level inter-school competitions. The school, its principal, teachers, and students have received many awards from NGOs in Tirupur, Erode, Coimbatore, and Chennai. From 1963 to the present day, about 6000 students have graduated from this institution. The school has produced hosiery factory owners, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and even a District Collector.

The school’s future plans include upgrading to a higher secondary level and they expect cooperation from all Rotarians and parents to achieve this goal.
